The WAY CAFE in Birch Bay! Winter Hours: Mon-Sat. 8:00am-3:00pm. Closed on Sundays HAPPY NEW YEAR! Announcing! - End of Year Matching Grant giving event- Has been EXTENDED! We especially want to thank Blaine Banner Bank for choosing our Friday Food Bank for their annual food drive in October. Approximately 200lbs of food was collected and $219.63 was donated on Nov. 10, 2025. 100% of the the proceeds were donated locally and given locally! We want to thank the kind hearted employees from Banner Bank in Blaine, and for all who donated in support of the Bridge Food Bank! This was especially a blessing in lieu of the recent gov't shut down and the SNAP benefits being cut for many people. Most food banks are supported by the gov't and by big corporations. Ours is not. We rely upon great people and companies like Banner Bank, who took it upon themselves to give locally to a homegrown ministry like ours. It's acts of kindness like this that make living in Blaine & Birch Bay such a wonderful blessing! Thank you! 
Did you know that the Bridge Food Bank is serving over 200 people every week, now? People of all ages are being helped, in particular those who are unable to pick up the food in person. We deliver the food to them.
Did you also know that that Bridge Boutique helps to pay for those food reserves and much needed supplies? And that the Boutique has excellent, gently used, and current clothing at ridiculously low prices? Also, The Boutique has a voucher system for those who are in extreme need and cannot afford to pay anything for clothing. Simply talk with one of our Grace Core Chaplains. Just a friendly reminder: The Bridge only takes gently used, CLEAN, and in good shape clothing! We can't take in furniture, kitchen ware, books, games, baby car seats, cribs, mattresses or garage sale things. We simply don't have the space! Hear the great reports coming in about The WAY CAFE coffee shop, launched June 2025: "What a blessing it is to hear good reports about the coffee shop! To those who know and remember what happened to our former building three years ago, at Christmas time no less! It is a miracle and a testament to God that our coffee shop ministry has been restored! What was birthed initially as a way to help train young people and give them work experience, bless the community with a coffee shop on our end of the block, and be a part of the Bridge Community Hope center's outreach, was washed away in the 3ft flood that hit our building. It has now been restored! PTL! Only in a much bigger and better way! This is how our God does things! When the enemy comes in like a flood, in our case a literal flood, the LORD raises up a standard against it! All glory to God, who inspired kind hearted people to help us! Who heard the voice of God calling them to restore what was taken and now look what has happened! The Way Cafe had been born! It is still part of the Bridge Community Hope Center's outreach into the community. Proceeds go right back into the community in a real way! Through the clothing Boutique, the Friday food bank, and the Grace Core Chaplaincy that offers free counselling, ministry and helps to those who are most broken in our community! So, remember, when you purchase a drink or some food, or both, at the Way Cafe, you are blessing the community too! Thank you to all who are supporting it!
